7-11 May 2018: Introductory Course in Diving Medicine – Fitness to Dive
Undersea Medicine Canada will be offering an Introductory Course in Diving Medicine from 7-11 May 2018 in Quebec City, QC. The target audience is physicians, however other allied health care professionals, safety directors and dive medics are welcome.
• Physicians will qualify as CSA Z275.2-15 Level 1 Diving Medical Examiners, and can have their names listed with the Diver Certification Board of Canada as qualified to conduct commercial diver medicals
• This is a 40-hr course in diving medicine and has received national accreditation for 35 MAINPRO+ CME credits from the College of Family Physicians of Canada

14-26 May 2018: Hyperbaric Medical Technologist, Simon Fraser University
Week One: Fundamentals of Hyperbaric Medicine - May 14-18, 2018
Week Two: Hyperbaric Chamber Operator - May 20-26, 2018
Cost: $2,000 + GST
This course includes training in the Fundamentals of Hyperbaric Medicine which has been reviewed and approved as a UHMS Designated Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. This qualifies for students to apply for 40-hours of CME credits.
It also meets the required training of a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator, described in section 22 of the Canadian Standards Association's Competency Standard for Diving Operations (Z275.4). Successful graduates can be issued a certification from the Divers Certification Board of Canada.
Note: Course fee includes instruction in Diving Physics, Diving Physiology, Emergency Management, Dive planning & Decompression, Chamber operator and maintenance time, and 40 hours of Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine.
